Job Description for Gartner Internship Drive 2023

Support the Marketing and Sales Analytics teams within Gartner Conferences Business
Execute analytics projects (descriptive and predictive) to help answer critical commercial questions like marketing effectiveness, sales effectiveness
Develop comprehensive, context-rich analyses to support projects and initiatives
Design dashboards utilizing the Power BI platform
Gather, analyze, and document reporting requirements
Leverage a variety of data sources to create strategic insights via analyses, help define KPIs and targets in partnership with key stakeholders, and support the building of a reporting/ recommendation engine to monitor performance against those KPIs
Collaborate with Analytics, Business, Operations, and IT teams to ensure the quality of data
Collaborate with team members on initiatives
Business Intelligence Intern
Support Business in the Business Intelligence area responsible for reporting requirements in conference sales, marketing, and operations
Knowledge gathering/analysis, planning, documenting, and transforming the business requirements into technical & functional specifications for the creation of reports and dashboards
Engage and partner with the IT organization and its teams as a solution provider in the data warehousing, and business intelligence areas
Create dashboards/reports using PowerBI and Excel
Accept candid feedback and look for areas of improvement
Collaborate with other team members, Business Associates, and BI analysts
What you will need –
Proficient and adept at MS Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint)
Business Analytics Intern –
Current pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, or a related field
0-24 months of experience working in a professional organization
Data-driven, fact-driven, problem-solving, and analytical mindset
Experienced in Microsoft SQL Server and any object-oriented programming language (R, Python, or any other)
Familiar with the foundational approaches to the major data science disciplines, such as data preparation, advanced statistics, and machine learning
Experience with visualization tools (Power BI or others) preferred
Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate results from the data to business teams using reporting and presentation tools
Strong ability to condense complex analysis into clear and concise takeaways that drive action
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
