Position: QA Automation Intern

Location: Remote
Notice Period: Immediate joiners preferred
Duration: 6 months
Timings: 8 hours
Note: Apply only if you’re comfortable with the working hours and a stipend of 5k for full-time (Intern) with 3 to 6 months of experience.

About the Role

As a QA Automation Intern, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. Working closely with the QA engineers and software development teams, you’ll design, develop, and execute automated test scripts while performing various quality assurance tasks. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software testing and automation within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard frameworks, tools, and scripting languages.
Collaborate with QA engineers to create efficient and effective test cases based on test requirements.
Execute automated test scripts and perform manual testing when required.
Identify and report software defects using bug tracking systems.
Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues encountered during testing.
Contribute to the enhancement of the QA process by suggesting improvements and best practices.
Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and QA automation best practices.
Document test procedures, results, and other relevant information.
Provide status updates on assigned tasks during team meetings.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software quality.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
Strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and practices.
Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
Basic programming skills in languages like Python, Java, or C#.
Knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium, or Cucumber.
Ability to write and execute SQL queries for database validations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
Effective time management and task prioritization abilities.

Preferred Qualifications for Jupiter Labs Internships 2023

Prior experience in software testing or QA processes.
Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
Exposure to continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and web services (REST, SOAP).
Basic understanding of networking concepts.
Knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA or TestRail.
Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.
