Role Overview: Vodafone Off Campus Drive 2023
As a GCP Data Engineer, you’ll be a key player in our pursuit of data-driven excellence. You’ll be responsible for designing and building scalable data solutions that meet business requirements and industry standards. Your role will involve extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources, integrating new data sources into shared environments, and creating high-performance algorithms and models.
What You’ll Do:
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, constructing, and maintaining scalable data management systems using data modeling, data warehousing, and manipulation techniques.
- Building and deploying datasets for modeling based on commercial and analytical needs.
- Integrating new data sources (batch and streaming) into shared data environments.
- Creating high-performance algorithms, prototypes, and predictive models.
- Researching new data acquisition opportunities and uses for existing data.
- Developing data set processes for modeling, mining, and production.
- Integrating new data management technologies and software tools.
- Creating custom software components and analytics applications.
- Collaborating with data architects, modelers, and IT team members.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining programs using languages like Python, Scala, and Java.
- Creating and maintaining reports and dashboards.
Who You Are:
- You have a background in software engineering with expertise in data solutions.
- You possess knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and data manipulation techniques.
- You are skilled in building and deploying datasets for modeling and analysis.
- You have experience with integrating new data sources into shared environments.
- You can develop high-performance algorithms and predictive models.
- You’re familiar with scripting languages and software engineering tools.
- You have a strong command of programming languages like Python, Scala, or Java.
- You’re passionate about data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
- You’re a collaborator who works well with cross-functional teams.
