Medicines Development (LRL @TechLilly) serves as a strategic function within Lilly Research Laboratories partnering with the Medicines Development Unit (MDU). The MDU focuses on taking potential marketable products from Research through product registration and approval. MD (LRL @TechLilly) focuses on the MDU business needs of the future, enabling improvements through information and technology solutions. The teams define and influence information and business strategies, design and develop solutions to achieve strategic outcomes, and ensure reliable deployment and support of these solutions.
The technical lead will be responsible for designing, developing the cross-functional consumer data requests through delivery while working across solution delivery, support, information consultants and account teams as well as other key partners. Additionally, this role will also engage in transformational and enterprise level efforts to innovate and accelerate our value delivery.
The technical lead will be responsible for end-to-end process like taking the requirement, preparing the AI ML models and start development of components, changing the code, and deploying to production with the help of support team. This will be part of the data foundations enhancement . Software Engineer Roles & Responsibilities: Software Engineer AI/ML 2024
- Understands business requirements and effectively translates business needs and process into technical terms, and vice versa. Coach and guide the junior engineers.
- Uses standardized processes for requirements definition, analysis, design, construct, and test activities.
- Design, develop, and deploy generative AI models and chat bots.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand and deliver scalable AI solutions.
- Fine tune models based on statistical analysis. Train/Re-train systems/models when needed.
- Utilize libraries and frameworks such as LangChain.
- Document the processes to ensure reproducibility and maintainability.
- Collaborate with team members during code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions to grow as a team.
Required Experience : – Software Engineer AI/ML 2024
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or equivalent years of experience). Ability to adapt quickly in a constantly changing environment.
- Must have experience in software development life cycle, spanning project initiation through support. Understanding the development, testing and validation of lifecycles.
- Azure GenAI hands-on
- Must have a good understanding and experience in advanced machine learning algorithms, deep learning, statistics, and large language models (LLM).
- Good experience with LLMs like OpenAI, Llama2, etc
- Good understanding & experience of frameworks like Langchain, and Llamaindex, which are used to build Gen Al solutions
- Python (intermediate level atleast) , Numpy, Pandas, Scikit learn, Model deployment ,Feature engineering, data pre-processing, Kubernetes , Docker, Github
- Experience in building chatbots with available models
- Good exposure to AWS cloud services like Lambda,S3, EC2 etc
Additional Skills/Preferences: Software Engineer AI/ML 2024
- Previous Pharmaceutical IT experience would be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion.
- Demonstrated ability to learn modern technologies quickly.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, presentation skills.
- Excellent self-management skills. Strong problem-solving skills, Process improvement skills
- Organization skills, Self-management. Demonstrated ability to evaluate, facilitate, and drive towards risk-based decision making. Proven team player and the ability to work in a dynamic environment, where needs and priorities can change, with compressed deadlines.
- Deep learning, ML Ops: ML Flow/Kubeflow (good to have)
- Experience on Cloud Platforms both AWS and Azure (good to have)
